B.Sc MATHEMATICS (Hons)

B.Sc Mathematics (Hons) has been framed with the option to study Economics and / Or Statistics. SBU assures that students passing out from the university should have enriched both Mathematics and Statistics/Economics that enables them to acquire the Mathematical tools and skills to proceed to a successful career in Mathematics and many related fields.

    After completing the BSc (Hons) Mathematics course the students will have:

ELIGIBILITY AND ADMISSION

Eligibility

The student should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. Students appearing in (10+2 examination) may also apply.

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject. Note : The applicant must also appear in any of the national/ state level Engineering Entrance Test or the Entrance Test organized by SBU.

Admission Process

They may also download the application form from the website of the University and may submit along with the relevant documents to the Information Centre of the University. They may also walk down to the University campus along with relevant documents to the Information centre for counselling and further admission process.

Applicants may submit the application form and required documents at the Admission Office personally or by post. It is the applicant's responsibility to ensure that the application form is complete in all respects, and is accompanied by the required documents.

Applicants should attach the copies of the following Certificates/Documents.

  • Passing / Provisional Certificates along with Mark Sheets of the qualifying Examinations
  • School/College Leaving Certificate last attended.
